Oh, very pretty indeed masha'Allah! None of that white dress or extravagant jewelry stuff, so that it looks not like a transaction, but like a real wedding. I am happy for her, if you see her give her my congratulations and Mabruk!
i have to say this was the most wonderful and simple wedding i have ever been to - it took place not in the city of Sheffield but a 10 minute drive from the city in a site called Arbor Low (in the Peak District) a place with some of the most beautiful countryside views in England.
The whole wedding ceremony took place outside - there were no fussy ribbon endowed chairs or cloth draped tables- mats were laid out on the floor and the most sumptuous avant grade picnic food was passed around!
During the nikah all the guests sat on the grass in a circle - (men making up one half women the other half) with the bride and groom next to each other, while an appointed man conducted the ceremony. throughout the procedure the breeze blew in and out and the sun shone upon us all.
She appears as though dropped from heaven. Well put together colours & outfit, combining elegance & modesty in the way that does not distract one's attention from the natural beauty of the bride; in fact it compelments her admirably in a traditional mode that is very much to my liking.
Bravo to this woman for successfully carrying off turqoise from head to toe.. I have a similar outfit, in fuschia and was not even half as successful as this woman.. its not easy.. and she made it look easy beautiful.. MashAllah!
Hijabs High is inspired by the stylish and dynamic global community of Muslim women who fuse their identities and pronounce their place in the world everyday through beauty and fashion.
It is my hope that this blog inspires, motivates and encourages Muslims and non-Muslims alike to revisit their perceptions of the "look" of Muslim women who wear the veil and encourage us all to be a little bit more fabulous.
To the chic gang of Hijabs High photographers - you know who you are - thanks for doing it all with grace and panache. :)
Finally, Hijabs High owes a debt to The Sartorialist, who first helped focus our cameras on the everyday. Thank you.

Love the outdoor element to this picture. A natural beauty! Masha'Allah
Reminds me of a mermaid, perched on a rock in a sea of algae!
