Love it! Love her style-total hip-hip. Love the fact she is covered all the way and still shows who she is...Love the gaze. Love the fact that she stands for WBLinc! You rock...
Asalam Alaikum, I think it is good that you are trying to show a diverse form of hijab, however I am just wondering why you haven't chosen to show any niqabis? The niqab is certainly one of the forms of hijab in our religion and one donned by sisters all over the world. Some would say it is the closest form of that to the time of our beloved Prophet (Sallahu Allahi wa Salam). I would encourage you to have it represented here whether it is a form of hijab that you endorse or not, as if your goal is to represent all sisters it should be here. Jazakallah Khair
on one far side of the spectrum we have niqaabi's and on the other far side we have bikini clad women...both are extremes...the hijab is the correct balance and is aligned to the middleway so stick to the hijab and let's cut out all forms of extremism in our lives from the above mentioned to extra extra mega large take out meals to +200mph cars.
Hijabs High is inspired by the stylish and dynamic global community of Muslim women who fuse their identities and pronounce their place in the world everyday through beauty and fashion.
It is my hope that this blog inspires, motivates and encourages Muslims and non-Muslims alike to revisit their perceptions of the "look" of Muslim women who wear the veil and encourage us all to be a little bit more fabulous.
To the chic gang of Hijabs High photographers - you know who you are - thanks for doing it all with grace and panache. :)
Finally, Hijabs High owes a debt to The Sartorialist, who first helped focus our cameras on the everyday. Thank you.
