Ooh la la, it's Singapore's next Topmodel masha'allah! :o) Hehe, look at her smile, so sweet masha'allah! She seems to be enjoying herself and is about to burst out laughing. I love the outfit, wish I could find something like it over here. Perfect coverage! Love it!!!!
Awwwwwwwwwww she is SOOOOOOOO CUTEEEEEE! So adorable, mashAllah! The hand on the hip just pours innocence and totally cute and adorable style =D MASHALLAH! May Allah bless her. *pulls Aunty into a bear hug* May Allah bless her and keep her away from all sorrow and give her strong Eman always, Ameen.
I agree with the comments about the pose. It's as perfect an illustration as humanly possible subhan Allah of the idea that there is more to hijab than just covering one's body. It also extends to how we carry ourselves - among other things, to guarding our modesty in the poses we strike and the expressions on our faces insha'Allah...
a lot of the pictures posted have seem to be of young women. I love that she is an older aged women.
masha'Allah she looks so cute! like many have said the pose she's got is really adorable.
The outfit she is wearing is something I usually wear. It's an Indian/Pakistani shirt-shalwar. When I am out in public I wear scarf instead of the dupatta around my head and instead of the matching pants I'll wear loose fitted jeans or other pants.
Hijabs High is inspired by the stylish and dynamic global community of Muslim women who fuse their identities and pronounce their place in the world everyday through beauty and fashion.
It is my hope that this blog inspires, motivates and encourages Muslims and non-Muslims alike to revisit their perceptions of the "look" of Muslim women who wear the veil and encourage us all to be a little bit more fabulous.
To the chic gang of Hijabs High photographers - you know who you are - thanks for doing it all with grace and panache. :)
Finally, Hijabs High owes a debt to The Sartorialist, who first helped focus our cameras on the everyday. Thank you.
