Beautiful purple. Love the frills on the sleeves and the skirt's a nice touch, making the top of the outfit longer. I do like her shoes too - got a pair like that just recently.
I disagree about the skirt making her look shorter. It might have more to do with the angle of the camera. Having taken that picture, I can see she looked quite good with that skirt :)
OH, YEAH! This outfit is fantastic. The shorter effect is probably due more to where she has placed the belt than to the skirt. But this is just perfect. The jeans not too wide, not too tight, the skirt to add that extra bit of modesty, the color scheme just so, the hijab a great match with the rest of the outfit. I am incredibly impressed.
I love all the outfits, but I have one question: why don't these girls cover their necks?! There have only been a few who have covered their necks properly, that I have seen. :-( It would be so easy to do, and wouldn't compromise the looks at all!
Okay. Seeing that I'm the only brother commenting around, I don't know whether an opinion from me would either benefit anyone or maybe possibly turn anyone here defensive (if so I apologize).
Putting that aside, I seriously like the lower garments most. The skirt adds to her modesty. I didn't care if it made her look short, nor did I even think it until I read the comments here. I only watched out for the most modest and comfortable look. I believe that the headscarf can be a bit longer to cover more of her chest, shoulders and neck. I believe that modesty is the key to Islamic fashion.
Hijabs High is inspired by the stylish and dynamic global community of Muslim women who fuse their identities and pronounce their place in the world everyday through beauty and fashion.
It is my hope that this blog inspires, motivates and encourages Muslims and non-Muslims alike to revisit their perceptions of the "look" of Muslim women who wear the veil and encourage us all to be a little bit more fabulous.
To the chic gang of Hijabs High photographers - you know who you are - thanks for doing it all with grace and panache. :)
Finally, Hijabs High owes a debt to The Sartorialist, who first helped focus our cameras on the everyday. Thank you.

the skirt over pants thing looks weird. makes her look shorter than she really is.

Cute and confident. Love that smile.
